About the Speaker
Vicki de Jesús is in her 12th year as a high school counselor. She has been a high school counselor in the Poway Unified School District and is currently serving in this position in the San Dieguito Union High School District. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in the Poway Unified School District and was recruited and ultimately earned an athletic scholarship to play Division 1 Women’s Basketball at the University of San Diego. While in graduate school, she received the opportunity to serve as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball team and continued her coaching experiences at the Varsity and Freshman Girl’s levels at Rancho Bernardo High School, Poway High School, and Vista High School. Vicki counsels high school students daily to prepare them for their continuing education. As counselor, coach, athlete and SoCal parent, she’s a wealth of valuable information for our members as they prepare for college.
